Abigail Baet

Abby began working at MGAH in January of 2023 after relocating to Wilmington from Northern Virginia. A dancer her whole life, she received a BA in Theater and Dance from James Madison University in 2006. After a few moves and various professional pursuits, her passion for animals was always at the forefront of her life. She regularly volunteered with rescue groups by helping with adoption events, fundraising and even fostering close to 20 dogs over the years. Following her heart, Abby decided to go back to school to pursue becoming a Veterinary Technician. She graduated from Gaston College’s Veterinary Technician program in 2016 and has been working as licensed veterinary technician ever since! Abby has worked in general practice, internal medicine and the ER. She shares her home and life with her husband Uriah, their 2 dogs (Willow and June) and 2 cats (Katniss and PuppyKitten). In her spare time, Abby enjoys sewing and exploring Wilmington’s awesome food scene!
